Use Case 1 is a visualization of how a Privacy Commons Statement might empower and inform Consumers, and encourage comprehensive privacy policies. Enforcability in this use case implicates contract legal theories, quasi-contract theories, market forces, and possible issues of tort negligence.  Each page includes explanatory footnotes.

In this simulation, first, ABC Medical Corp has written its Privacy Policy in conformance with the Privacy Commons Medical Privacy Policy Requirements Version 4, which were previously created and maintained by Privacy Commons working groups or consensus bodies. Second, it registered and authenticated with Privacy Commons. Third, it embedded the standard Privacy Commons Declaration Statement in the footer of its Privacy Policy. From there, a user may visit a detailed explanation of what the Privacy Commons delaration means, including input and analysis from the Privacy Commons Community.
